Fall News - from the aviary

It is late October and the leaves have finished their fall coloration and are now on their way down in preparation for the upcoming winter. We are very fortunate to have avoided the major early snow storm yesterday that came through the north east. We are an not complaining nor we are under any illusion about us and the fact that we will get plenty this year as usual. The birds the aviary are all doing wonderful - The babies are growing up quick and it is tough to keep up with them. Of the three Sun Conure babies, two are going home next weekend and the new parents are all excited to get their babies home.

Zazu - they African Grey Congo went home with Monica and Kurt this week where they are going to finish hand feeding him. We are still not sure about one of his legs, but regardless of that, he is in a very loving and caring environment. They made the long trip (5+ hrs) to get him and we are so thankful as we know he is in safe hands. Thank You Kurt and Monica.
